-- Big Sky Technologies announced today that it has revised it's
Business Partner program to make it easier for IBM (NYSE: IBM) Business
Partners to work with Big Sky to promote, sell, install and support
the Remark! product line. Any IBM Business Partner who specializes
in Lotus software is automatically eligible to become a Remark!
Business Partner and to receive free Remark! "Run Your Business"
software.
Big Sky has offered Remark! Unified Messaging and
Interactive Voice Response solutions for IBM Lotus Notes and Domino
for many years, and has worked with many IBM Business Partners in
support of their customers. As the Unified Messaging markets matures
and companies continue to migrate away from proprietary voice mail
systems, decision makers are looking for advice from their trusted
suppliers and integrators to help them determine best of breed solutions.
To leverage this influence, Big Sky would like to ensure that all
IBM Business Partners are aware of Remark! unified messaging solutions
and have the opportunity to generate additional revenue from them.
Big Sky is now providing free Remark! unified messaging
software to all qualified Business Partners for internal use so
they can experience the benefits first hand. All that is needed
to get started is a voice board, or a Voice over IP (VoIP) capable
PBX system, and ScanSoft text-to-speech software licenses. These
items are available from Big Sky at special internal use prices.
There are two partner programs available from Big
Sky. Remark! Reference Sellers can participate in the sales and
support process without investing a significant amount of time and
energy on technical training. Big Sky works hand in hand with Reference
sellers to provide product information, demonstrations, and pricing
information to potential customers. When a customer purchases a
Remark! solution, a sales commission is paid to the Reference Seller.
Big Sky then works directly with the customer and, optionally, the
Reference Seller to install and configure the system.
Reference Sellers who become familiar with the Remark!
sales and technical support process can become Remark! Resellers.
As a Reseller, Remark! software may be purchased from Big Sky at
significant discounts for resale. Additionally, Resellers may contract
directly with their customers to provide Remark! maintenance and
support.
