Big Sky hosted their NYC User Group Meeting in midtown Manhattan last week in the middle of a nor’easter – clearly we did not bring the weather with us from San Diego. Despite the conditions, all of our retail customers in the area were present to hear updates on Big Sky’s progress with both infrastructure and product.

The past year has been an exciting one in terms of growth for Big Sky, and it was great to have so many fantastic customers, both new and familiar, at the event. Over the day we had lively discussion on the current state of Big Sky, discussed new features, reviewed best practices, and even looked ahead to features and functionality forthcoming in future releases. Among the more popular discussion topics was the new Task and Survey module that has become available this fall, which allows for tasks to be assigned to other users in the system. A common application might be a task from HQ to stores to upload a photo or answer a few questions about their store; another might be a task for all Facility Managers to complete site assessments while in the field. With any task, Big Sky can then make that collected data available to collate, report on, and plan future projects.  Look for a blog post on the Task Module that goes into greater detail in the near future!

After lunch the day concluded with a Q & A session that quickly developed into an open forum and exchange of ideas between our customers, which to us, was the perfect outcome.
